Description

This is the magic to the Rum Punch. A step not to scrimp on.

Ingredients

2 cups of water
1 cup brown or whole sugar

Directions

Bring the water to a boil and stir until the sugar has dissolved.

Let liquid boil for about 2 minutes and then remove from heat and let cool. Do not let boil for too long as you do not want it to thicken.

The simple syrup will keep in the fridge for at least a week.
