Tuna Casserole

2 onions finely diced

2 tins Gold Seal No Drain Tuna

½ cup bacon bits

½ cup sundried tomatoes

6 cups cooked pasta (penne or bowties or macaroni)

1 cup chicken stock

1 cup cream cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup smoked cheddar cheese

 

Directions

 

  1. In a large saucepan over med/high heat combine chicken stock and cream cheese whisk until cheese is melted about 5 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Pre heat oven to 350
  3. In a greased 9 x 12 baking pan add pasta than Tuna, onions, bacon and sundried tomatoes mix well
  4. Next mix in cheeses than cover with cream cheese sauce.  Up to this point recipe can be made a couple hours or a day ahead of time.
  5. Bake covered for 45 minutes, than remove cover and bake for another 20 minutes.

 Always good to let this rest for a few minutes when you take it out of the oven before serving.
