Beer Braised Short Ribs
3lbs Beef Short Ribs
3 tbsp of olive oil
2 large onions, chopped
1 bunch of chives, chopped
3 cups of beef stock
2 cups of Granville Island Pale Ale
1. In a large stock pot or Pressure cooker add oil over med/high heat-then add onions and cook till soft about 3-5 minutes, add garlic and all the other ingredients.
3. Cover and increase heat to med/high (a wee bit higher than before) and cook for 10 minutes or until red button pops up and then reduce the heat and keep on low for 45 minutes. If using traditional stove top method cook on low for 3 to 4 hours.
4. Serve over rice, risotto or your favourite potatoes.
